Thatcher is a US-based Director of Real Estate and Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) advisory at AECOM, where he primarily works with public sector clients on how to leverage planning, markets, and infrastructure to achieve public policy objectives. Thatcher has over two decades of experience in commercial real estate, transportation, and planning, drawing from his work in transit-oriented development (TOD) for Sound Transit in Seattle, and public finance and private real estate development in Minneapolis. While at Sound Transit, he guided more than 20 TOD projects with more than 3,000 housing units more than 14 transit projects. He is a self-described “nerd” for local history and why places change, and when not working, he’s exploring cities with his family and likely to be enjoying an espresso and a gluten free treat.
