Vanessa Kolias is Vice President of Investments and Corporate Development at Boardwalk, where she co-leads Boardwalk’s national investment platform, overseeing deal sourcing, underwriting, and execution across major Canadian markets.

Previously, Vanessa worked at Oxford Properties in New York City, where she was involved in investments across multiple asset classes, including multifamily, industrial, office, life sciences, mezzanine lending, and single-family rental. She also worked at RioCan REIT, where she focused on retail and multifamily development. Over the course of her career, she has contributed to more than $15 billion in acquisitions, dispositions, and development transactions.

Vanessa holds a Master of Science in Real Estate Development from Columbia University and a B.Comm. from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University. She has also been involved in teaching within the Columbia University Real Estate Program, with a focus on bridging academic theory and real-world transaction execution.
