Jeremy Wedgbury leads the 200-person strong commercial financing sales and credit operations of First National. With $40B+ of commercial mortgages, First National is Canada’s largest non-bank commercial mortgage lenders and the leader in insured apartment lending (construction and term). Beyond its scale as a national lender that funded $9.7B in multi-unit and commercial mortgages in 2021 alone, the company is known for its broad range of insured and conventional loan products (including term, construction, bridge and second) and its expertise in originating, underwriting and servicing mortgages on multi-unit residential, retail, industrial, self-storage and office properties. Under Jeremy’s leadership, the commercial team has developed capabilities that allow its empowered advisors to create smart risk solutions for developers and asset managers at all points of the market cycle. Most recently, the company has harnessed these capabilities to become a thought leader in the use of CMHC’s MLI Select program.
