Carlo Bardini (Pisa, 1963), has a degree in Economic History from the University of Pisa and a doctorate in Economic History from the European University Institute of Florence. Since 1997 he has been an official of the Italian Competition Authority, in which, since February 2008, he has been the Deputy Director of the Energy Sector Division, within the General Directorate for Competition. He is the author of several interventions at seminars and conferences on issues of competition in energy sectors, and regularly gives classes on these same arguments in post-graduate courses of various Italian universities.
