Mateusz Błachucki is an advisor to the President of the Office for Competition and Consumer Protection (Polish competition authority). His main duties include conducting complex merger investigations and representing Polish authority before the courts in competition cases. He is responsible for international cooperation in merger control and serves as an expert in working groups devoted to competition protection and cooperation in various international fora i.e. ICN, ECN, ECA and OECD Competition Committee.
Mateusz Błachucki serves also as an assistant professor in the Department of Administrative Law of Institute of Law Studies, Polish Academy of Sciences. He is a member and secretary of Scientific Council of the Institute. He holds a PhD in law (Polish Academy of Sciences, 2011), M.A. (Hons) in Law (University of Warsaw, 2002) and M.A. in Economics (Warsaw School of Economics, 2003).
