Profile

Hideto Yamaguchi joined Yamanouchi Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. (now Astellas Pharma Inc.) in 1994 as a researcher in biopharmaceutical industrialization. From 2016 to 2020, oversaw industrialization research and overall manufacturing of cell therapy products at Astellas Institute for Regenerative Medicine (Massachusetts, USA). Served as Head of the Chemical & Biological Technology Laboratories at Astellas Pharma from 2020 to 2025. Since October 2025, appointed President & CEO of Cellafa Bioscience, a joint venture established by Astellas Pharma and Yaskawa Electric Corporation. Since June 2025, Vice Chairman and Representative Director of the Forum for Innovative Regenerative Medicine (FIRM). Holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Science.
