Dr. Shaoyong Li serves as Head of Vector Biology at Exegenesis Bio., a biopharmaceutical company focused on gene therapies and oligonucleotide-based therapeutics, with globally leading delivery vector technologies. He brings over 15 years of research and development experience in AAV gene therapy, spanning capsid engineering, bioprocessing, analytical development, and preclinical studies supporting IND-enabling programs. Prior to joining Exegenesis, Dr. Li held scientific roles at leading biotechnology companies at Voyager Therapeutics, AGTC. He earned his Ph.D. in Veterinary Biomedical Sciences from China Agricultural University and completed postdoctoral training focused on AAV biology and translational research at the Gene Therapy Center of UMass Chan Medical School.
