Profile
Kate Bollanou is an experienced corporate trainer and academic lecturer, specialising in soft skills, intercultural communication, and behavioural dynamics for maritime professionals. With over 20 years of international experience, she has lived and worked in Greece, the UK, Dubai, and the Philippines, bringing a global perspective to her work.
Certified in Global Dexterity, Ms Bollanou designs and delivers training for both shore-based teams and seafarers, with a particular focus on Greek-Filipino collaboration. She holds an MSc in Shipping and Commercial Law and is a former London-based shipbroker and member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers.
Ms Bollanou has worked with organisations such as RINA, Teekay, Maran Tankers, and Marlow Navigation, and has spoken at major industry events including CrewConnect Global, WISTA, NATO’s Maritime Interdiction Operational Training Centre, and TEDx, where she delivered a talk titled “What We’re Doing Wrong with Diversity.”
