Anett studied at Budapest Business School, Hungary and at the University of Derby, UK. After graduating with a BA degree in economics and international communication, she started her shipping career as a demurrage analyst at Exxonmobil in Fairfax and Budapest.

Over the last 12 years, Anett has worked in a variety of roles within the shipping industry. She spent two years with Teekay Shipping on an expatriate assignment in Copenhagen as a claims coordinator and vessel operator before moving on to the Handytankers Pool of Maersk where she worked as the assistant operations manager. She was responsible for the coordination of several procedure and system changes as well as setting up, training and developing the operations assistant team in Mumbai. She has also worked for Navig8 London as a bunker trader and vessel manager, and now is a ship broker for Affinity Tankers.
