I trained as a medical doctor and practiced general medicine for several years.

Practicing sports at a high level, I also obtained a degree in Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy. I worked as a researcher and lecturer at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB, Free University of Brussels). I started working at the Belgian Poison Centre in October 2023 as part of the medical team. I answer calls on our emergency medical line, where the general public as well as emergency doctors can obtain information regarding exposure to potentially toxic substances. I am also responsible for follow-up and reporting in relation to biocidal products.
