PhD in Plant Genetics by the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Agricultural Engineer with Master in Plant Sciences by the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
Teacher (1996-97 & 2001-02). In 2003-04 I was a Contractor for Regulatory in Dow Agrosciences Iberia (DAS), joining DAS as Country Regulatory Specialist for Spain & Portugal (Iberia), in 2005. I contributed to answer farmers’ needs, aligning submissions to national requirements, dealing with authorities for product approvals & maintenance. I participate in Trade associations & attended Southern Zone Steering Committee meetings in Rome, Madrid & Athens. In parallel, I have been Food Chain Technical Transfer specialist (2012-15) and Zonal Regulatory Associate (2015-18), helping with actives/products dossiers for approval and renewals. In 2018, in Corteva, I became Country Regulatory Leader for Iberia adding supervisor responsibilities in 2021. Since June 2023, I am also team leader for Regulatory Turkiye, a non-EU country with breadth vision in regulation. In 2021-23, I was member of Operational Group Phytodron in Spain, a pioneering initiative in the safe and effective application using drones in agroforestry, with a multidisciplinary approach, nominated to EIP-AGRI 2024 Innovation Awards. Currently I participate in the European Precision Application Task Force (EUPAF), a scientific platform to gather expertise in precision applications and risk mitigation measures.
