Maria Beatrice Grassi is an Italian lawyer admitted to the Brussels Bar ("E-list") and is part of the EU Regulatory, Trade, and Competition Law department at Fieldfisher Belgium.

Before joining Fieldfisher, she worked in Italy as a judicial clerk in a Tribunal, focusing on commercial and criminal law, and in a law firm handling corporate-commercial matters.

Maria specializes in the EU internal market and the freedom of goods, with a particular focus on environmental law. She provides advice on non-contentious matters related to F-GAS, PFAS, REACH, CLP, RoHS, the Water Framework Directive, the Environmental Quality Standard Directive, the Ground Water Directive, the Drinking Water Directive, biocides, plant protection products, energy, and waste regulations.

Additionally, she advises on product sustainability, product design, data protection, and packaging rules. She also assists clients with compliance issues related to medical devices and medicines.

Maria holds a full-cycle Master's Degree in Law (Summa cum laude) from the University of Padova (Italy) and an LLM in Competition Law and Regulation from the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands). She is a member of the Italian Bar ("Ordine degli Avvocati di Padova") and the Brussels Bar ("E-list"). She is a native Italian speaker and fluent in French and English.
