Pascal Michaux is the Founder and Managing Partner of EU Focus Group. With more than 30 years of experience advising the crop protection industry, he has been closely involved in the evolution of the European regulatory framework governing plant protection products.

Throughout his career, Pascal has played an active role in major EU legislative developments, from Directive 91/414/EEC to Regulation (EC) No 1107/2009 and continues to support stakeholders in navigating ongoing regulatory reforms, including the current Omnibus initiatives.

He has developed extensive expertise in EU policymaking, particularly in areas where scientific assessment intersects with societal and political considerations. Pascal has contributed to the development and interpretation of key regulatory concepts and frameworks, including negligible exposure, sustainable use, and other risk-management principles that shape EU decision-making today.

Recognized as a specialist in EU Comitology procedures, he has built long-standing and trusted relationships with regulatory authorities both in Brussels and across Member States. His ability to foster constructive dialogue between industry and policymakers has enabled effective engagement on some of the most complex regulatory challenges facing the sector.

Pascal holds a Master’s degree in Law and a Master’s degree in Intercultural Management.
