Solange Mateo Montalcini is the Sector Group Manager of Formacare at Cefic, the European Chemical Industry Council.

A biologist by training, Solange holds a PhD in microbiology from the University of Oxford. Before joining Cefic in 2025, she spent 15 years with the L'Oréal Group, where she held roles across Regulatory Affairs, Ingredient Innovation, Sustainability and Public Affairs. Her work has focused on the intersection of science, regulation and sustainability in the chemicals and consumer goods sectors.
