Dr. Jenny Yang is Head of External Innovation Asia Pacific at Novo Nordisk, leading identification, evaluation, and collaboration of enabling technologies, new targets, and novel therapeutics up to phase 3 stage. She graduated from Peking University, earned her PhD from Columbia University and completed postdoctoral training at Caltech and HHMI. Since joining Novo Nordisk in 2008, she has held various R&D and leadership roles including Vice President of Drug Discovery Technology. In her current role in Global Business Development, she leads the global cross-functional team to conduct due diligence on projects to support transactions related to external opportunities, carry out different forms of open innovation according to the characteristics and nature of projects at different stages, build flexible and diverse external collaboration models, and actively promote innovation ecosystem development in Asia Pacific.
