Yiming Liu is partner in charge of Cooley's Shanghai office. He advises life sciences, healthcare and technology companies throughout their lifecycles, and has substantial experience representing high-growth companies, institutional investors and investment banks in strategic transactions, including IPOs in Hong Kong and the US, cross-border M&A, venture capital financings, joint ventures, and licensing and collaboration agreements.

Yiming has practiced corporate law in New York, Hong Kong and Shanghai, and he previously received academic training and advanced degrees in molecular, cellular and developmental biology and health services administration. Yiming leverages his broad experience and technical background to help clients achieve their desired results.

Yiming was named a “Growth Driver” by China Business Law Journal (CBLJ) and included in “The A-List” elite lawyers in China for 2023-2025. He was also acknowledged as one of the "Asia Dealmakers 2024" by Thomson Reuters, Asian Legal Business (ALB).
