James is a Partner in ERM’s Sustainability & Climate Solutions team and specializes in climate change risk assessments that align with mandatory climate-related reporting requirements, e.g., CSRD and ISSB. James’s advisory work helps clients to determine the potential impact of natural hazards on their operations and investments through assessments of the materiality of climate on assets and portfolios. James has worked for a range of clients to prepare climate physical risk assessments, including investors and owners of major projects in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and transport.

James has also developed proprietary tools within ERM that can profile risk for clients, with a variety of approaches to assessing physical climate-related exposure and climate events.
