Profile
Petra Minnerop is Professor of International Law at Durham Law School and Deputy Executive Dean (Global) of the Faculty of Social Science and Health. She holds a PhD in Public International Law from the University of Göttingen, Germany, and she is a member of the German Bar. At Durham, she chairs the University’s UN SDG Group and serves as the founding Director of the Centre for Sustainable Development Law and Policy. Prior to joining Durham Law School, Petra held academic positions at the Universities of Dundee, Munich and Göttingen, and she was Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, Heidelberg. She has published widely in international law and international environmental law and has over 20 years’ experience of advising and working with international organisations and national governments.
