Alexis Lemon-Zakou is a Claims Executive at the American P&I Club and serves as the Regional Correspondent Manager for the Americas. She has 20 years of experience in the maritime industry handling charter party disputes (FD&D), cargo claims, marine casualties, and bodily injury. Prior to joining the American P&I Club she worked for dry bulk owners as an Operations Manager for Genco Shipping and Trading and NYK Bulkship Atlantic.

She holds a BA in International Relations/French Literature from SUNY Buffalo, an MA from NYU in Near Eastern Studies, and was a Fulbright scholar (Greece).
