Ben has been working at the Mission to Seafarers since 2007, leading the advocacy programme. He is also responsible for Grants programme, the Seafarers Happiness Index and establishing new welfare services, such as port chaplaincies and Seafarers Centres. Before working for the Mission, he trained as a journalist, then worked for The Salvation Army for 10 years, in press and public affairs.
