Dr. Christopher Kolodziej is a Principal Energy Systems Analyst at Argonne National Laboratory, working on life cycle analyses of emissions, cost, and resiliency of maritime fuels and technologies. He co-authored the 2024 US Action Plan for Maritime Energy and Emissions Innovation and has previously advised the US State Department on maritime fuels LCA guidelines for interactions with the IMO. He is Principal Investigator on several marine analysis projects, including inland marine vessel electrification for MARAD, domestic shipbuilding resiliency (in collaboration with the University of Michigan), and alternative fuels for domestic and ocean-going vessels for the Department of Energy, including most recently ethanol.
