Erik Broekhuizen is the Manager of Poten’s Tanker Research & Consulting Group. He joined Poten in March 2014 after 20 years with Overseas Shipholding Group, a major U.S. based tanker owner, where he was responsible for Strategic Planning and Corporate Finance. He has almost 40 years’ experience in the bulk shipping industry. At Poten, his focus is on crude oil and refined product supply and demand with an emphasis on trade flows and transportation analysis for oil companies and shipowners as well as decision support for strategic investment decisions. He holds degrees from Nijenrode Business University and Erasmus University, both in the Netherlands.
