Joe Kramek is the President and CEO of the World Shipping Council. The World Shipping Council (WSC) is the united voice of liner shipping and works to shape the future growth of a socially responsible, environmentally sustainable, safe, and secure shipping industry. WSC’s twenty-four container and vehicle carrier members operate 90 percent of global liner shipping capacity. WSC has consultative status at the International Maritime Organization, the World Customs Organization, and maintains offices in Washington, D.C., Brussels, London, and Singapore. Joe previously served in the U.S. Coast Guard for twenty-eight years in a variety of roles including four years at sea as a deck officer and as an attorney-advisor on environmental, maritime and international law.
