Oussama Darif is a Master Mariner by profession. He sailed on multiple vessel types before assuming command as Captain at the age of 28. He joined RightShip in 2016 and currently leads the Americas Vetting an Operations Team. With nearly three decades of experience across bulk, tankers and terminal operations, he has deep expertise in vetting and assurance, TMSA/MTMSA/DryBMS frameworks, and marine terminal clearance processes.

Oussama is a published author, contributing to DryBMS Framework, The Nautical Institute’s Guide to Bulk Carrier Operations and RightShip’s Insights Paper: Entry into Enclosed Spaces. He is a strong advocate for safety, sustainability, and crew welfare. He holds a First-Class Master Mariner Certificate and a B.Sc. in Nautical Science and Technology, specializing in Ship Construction and Stability.
