Profile
Pam is a licensed psychotherapist and maritime mental health expert. Her maritime career started in the cruise sector in 1996 on board ships as a manager, directing a myriad of guest issues for 2500 passengers. This lead to her clinical mental health research and Master’s Degree in Advanced Practice of Clinical Social Work within the World of Work from Columbia University in New York City in 2011. She continued to specialize in workplace mental health at a boutique Employee Assistance Program company in New York City.
Pam drives maritime mental health conversations with firsthand ship experience with profound understanding people dynamics and cultures, on and off a ship. She is known for her innovative approaches designing prevention and intervention mental health programs as a former seafarer, land-based cruise line manager and licensed trauma psychotherapist.
Pam is a global speaker sharing her career and stories at various events with MARINA, the Dutch Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines, PHILCAMSAT, SeaTrade Cruise Talks, CrewConnect Global and Europe, the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST) and Fugro to name a few.
