Profile
Peter is a leader of technical teams and practicing naval architect with experience in design, operations, asset integrity, risk management, and technology. He is constantly exploring and delivering ways to increase the safety, environmental performance, and effectiveness of shipping and offshore projects through project teams and informal networks.
Peter’s professional work ranges from 10 meter long passenger vessels to 450,000 DWT ULCCs in the commercial, defense, and municipal spaces and FPSOs ranging in field production size of 10,000 bpd to >250,000 bpd production new build and conversions.
Peter has worked at Universe Tankships (Stena), Gulf Coast shipyards, and oil majors such as ConocoPhillips, BG Group, and Shell prior to joining Lloyd’s Register in 2022.
Peter holds a BSc in naval architecture and marine engineering from Webb Institute in New York and an MBA from Tulane University in New Orleans.
Aside from work, he is active with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, Webb Institute, Houston Maritime Museum, and Scouting USA.
