Over the last 10 years, Rafael has been a commercial professional in the Maritime Industry, first at Veson Nautical and curretnly at ABS Wavesight. As the Americas Business Development Director at ABS Wavesight, Rafael leads the commercial team responsible for supporting current clients and onboarding new ones in North and South America. Rafael and his team enable shipowners of all types (carrier, offshore, transportation, etc.) manage their fleets and comply with EU and IMO decarbonization, as well as MARPOL and SOLAS regulations. In his role at Veson, Rafael helped bulk carriers manage the risk and maximize the profits of their commercial voyages to profitability, as well as charterers to manage the integrity of their voyages. Prior to his time in the Maritime industry, Rafael worked at a variety of software companies servicing Financial, IT Internationalization communities, as well as companies operating in a Business to Business market.
