Rosevelt Fernandes is Vice President of Regional Business Development at the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), where he spearheads client engagement and growth strategies across North America in the maritime sector.

With over 28 years of industry expertise, he is an experienced superintendent with a demonstrated history in the maritime field. His career spans senior roles in business development, marine surveying, safety management, and marine engineering at leading organizations including ABS, RightShip, A.P. Moller-Maersk, and shipyard operations. A Class I Marine Engineer Officer, he holds post graduation in Maritime Management from World Maritime University (focused on Business Administration and Management), an MSc in Marine Engineering from the University of Plymouth, and additional certifications in marine engineering, complemented by extensive class and regulatory experience.

Skilled in international shipping, Safety Management Systems, ISM Code, maritime operations, and inspections, Rosevelt excels in fostering stakeholder relationships and advancing innovation.
