Scott Edwards is the Vice President for Regulatory Development at CORE POWER and is the Chair of NEMO Working Group #2, Nuclear Safety Security and Safeguards. Scott has a BS in Chemical Engineering from Virginia Tech, a certificate in Nuclear Engineering from Bettis Reactor Engineering School, and an MBA from Xavier University. He has worked in the nuclear industry for 36 years, starting as a staff engineer at Naval Reactors Headquarters. Scott then worked for nearly 20 years in the US Department of Energy complex at Hanford, Fernald, Yucca Mountain, and Idaho National Laboratory, before moving to the commercial nuclear sector. He spent 3 years on assignment to the World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI) in London focusing on the International Atomic Energy Agency and its Transport and Nuclear Safety regulations before joining CORE POWER in 2023.
