William Campbell is Executive Vice President, Operations at Liberty Maritime Corporation, where he leads chartering of the company’s dry bulk and the global management of Liberty’s diversified fleet. He oversees all commercial and marine operations, including vessel performance, safety, regulatory compliance, crew management, sustainability, and operational efficiency across complex international trading routes. With more than 30 years of maritime industry experience, William brings deep expertise in fleet management, commercial chartering, voyage operations, and strategic planning. He aligns operational execution with global commodity markets to drive performance, asset value, and long-term growth. Under his leadership, Liberty has strengthened safety performance, reduced off-hire time, minimized claims exposure, and implemented advanced digital fleet monitoring systems to enhance operational decision-making. He also champions environmental stewardship and decarbonization initiatives in alignment with evolving international standards. A strong advocate for seafarer welfare and professional development, William believes operaƟonal excellence begins with empowered people. A graduate of the United States Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, William sailed as a Deck Officer aboard U.S.-flag vessels and served as a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Naval Reserve. He is an elected member of the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS).
