Øystein graduated from NTNU in 1993 as Master of Science in Marine Technology. Since joining DNV in 1994 he has worked in several engineer, consultant and management positions including classification, design approval, ship new-building, ship operations, sub-sea engineering, risk management and business development assisting clients in the offshore and maritime industry in their decision-making processes. Øystein has 7 years international experience from assignments in Korea and China and is currently heading the Safety, Risk and Systems Advisory department in DNV Maritime Advisory.
