Damien Geradin is the founding partner of Geradin Partners, boutique law firm with offices in Brussels and London specialised in competition law with a focus on the tech, media and telecommunications markets. Before founding Geradin Partners, Damien was a partner at two major international law firms, most recently at Covington & Burling where he was co-head of the European litigation practice. His team is comprised of ten full-time competition lawyers who have trained in leading international law firms.

Over the past two decades, Damien has represented clients in multiple European Commission competition investigations, as well as investigations by the French, German and UK competition authorities. He has also represented clients in major cases before the Court of Justice of the European Union. According to Chambers Global, Mr. Geradin “is well known for his writings”, with commentators describing him as “one of the best antitrust theoreticians around”. Chambers Europe also notes that clients report that he is “very responsive and skilled in abuse of dominance cases”.

At Geradin Partners, Damien founded the first Platform Law practice in the world, which is dedicated to provide top notch legal advice to corporations either operating platforms or being depending on platforms. His work on platforms has featured in the Bloomberg, the Financial Times, the New York Times, Politico, Reuters, and the Wall Street Journal. Damien has also appeared on CNN to discuss major antitrust cases.

In addition to being a practising lawyer, Damien is also an academic. Over the years, he has held academic positions in leading law schools, including Columbia, Harvard, Michigan and Yale. He is currently a tenured professor at Tilburg University and a visiting Professor at the University of East Anglia. He is the author/co-author of 21 books and over 150 law review articles, and the founding editor of the Journal of Competition Law & Economics.
