Profile

Roger Miles, behavioural risk specialist, Academy founder, author of Culture Audit

Researching human-factor risks in organisations, Roger advises on how best to identify, measure and report on culture and conduct.

After audit practice with PwC, and 15 years on the Boards of global consulting firms, he headed risk communication initiatives in HM Civil Service and for the financial sector’s principal advocacy groups in London and Brussels.

Coincident with the 2008 financial crash, he requalified as a specialist in the psychology of risk perception and control design. He now works discreetly for global brands and professional standard-setting bodies. His published work includes the financial sector’s handbook Culture Audit, (www.koganpage.com/cafs), endorsed by regulators in six major jurisdictions. He is Contributing Editor, Behaviour-At-Risk, for publishers including Thomson Reuters Regulatory Intelligence, ACCA’s Risk Culture series, xUnlocked video learning, Economic Pluralism’s The Mint, and the LSE’s annual Behavioral Economics Guides.

Dr Miles is an Advisory Panellist to risk research groups including the Centre for Science and Policy (Cambridge), Violation Tracker (Washington), Food For Thought, and Humanity in Cyberspace (Whitehall).
