Shaz Khan, born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, is the co-founder of a people-centric, data-driven hospitality group with soon-to-be 16 locations across four brands by the end of the year. With a background in electrical engineering, he first gained recognition through a popular self-development blog before transitioning into restaurants with his best friend from high school. That single venture has since evolved into a multi-concept platform and a growing commercial real estate portfolio. A 40 Under 40 honoree and member of the Toast Customer Advisory Board, Shaz is a strong believer that business is not only about economics and structure but ultimately about leadership. He draws on cross-disciplinary lessons to bring clarity, innovation, and joy to everything he builds.
