Alexandra Anagnostis-Irons is the founder and President of Total Marine Solutions (TMS), an environmental solutions company headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. TMS supplies innovative and forward thinking MARPOL compliant solutions for the marine and logistics industries, along with the highest level of technical support and customer service. With a global technical support presence, TMS closely with their clients in strengthening their compliance culture from all sectors of the industry – cruise, commercial, offshore, government, ports, and mega yachts.

Alex started her shipping career in the cruise sector and enjoyed more than 16 years serving in a number of executive roles within Marine & Technical Operations. She left the cruise industry in September 2000 as Royal Caribbean’s Director, Technical Purchasing to launch Total Marine Solutions.

Over the last twenty years, the combination of strong, long-standing partnerships with solid manufacturers of proven technology and razor-sharp customer focus has proven to be a solid foundation from which TMS has evolved and continues to prosper.

Alex holds both her Master’s Degree in Business Administration and undergraduate degree from Barry University in Miami, Florida. She is actively involved in a number of marine organizations including: serving on the Executive Committee in the role of Secretary for WISTA International, as a Board Member for Seafarers’ House Port Everglades, as a trustee for the Coast Guard Foundation, as Vice Chair of Broward Navy Days, and as a member of InterManager’s Executive Committee. She is also a Founding Member of This Week in Maritime, an organization established just weeks into the COVID-19 pandemic with a mission to keep the maritime industry connected and informed.
