Neil has been in the maritime industry for over thirty years, both at sea and ashore, sailing on a variety of vessels, and having held an unlimited Masters certificate. After moving ashore into marine operations, Neil joined Transas in 1999 and has since served in various positions in Commercial, Sales and Business development with the organization. Neil is currently General Manager of the Transas Business Line in the Americas following acquisition of Transas by Wärtsilä in 2018.

Neil has also taken on the role of global development of the Simulation and training business, in support of Wärtsilä Smart Marine solutions. He is considered a subject matter expert in Maritime Simulation and Smart Marine Solutions, is a member of the Nautical Institute, and a contributor to many maritime industry organizations.
