Benedict PeetRegional Information & Cyber Security (ICS) Risk Manager at Standard CharteredSpeaker
Profile
Ben Peet is the Regional Information & Cyber Security lead for Standard Chartered Bank. With over 25 years' crisis and incident management knowledge, including managing crisis responses to terrorist attacks, kidnappings, bank robberies, natural disasters, pandemics and cyber attacks, Ben is currently responsible for coordinating Standard Chartered Bank’s response to cyber attacks impacting the UK and Europe.
With a particular interest in brand and reputational impact caused by crises, he is keen to stress that the success of responding to a crisis is often not within the crisis management group or incident management process, it lies within the corporate communications function who often have a massive impact on the public perception of a crisis, affecting both reputation and brand.
