Profile
Carol MacKenzie has over 30 years in the travel industry in both Aviation and Tour Operating sectors, with over two decades of delivering and leading international crisis management at operational and board level.
Carol previously worked for the Thomas Cook Group. She joined the TUI Group in March 2020 and was made Group Head of Crisis Management and Business Continuity in August 2020, a role held in her previous company. She has experienced the changing needs of both customers and business in the last 20 years responding to numerous natural disasters, transport accidents and terrorist activity including the Sharm el Sheik bombing, Sousse attack, Hurricanes Wilma & Irma, the Arab Spring, and more recently the collapse of Thomas Cook and the Covid 19 pandemic.
Working in a multinational plc crisis also includes Business Continuity and Data incidents as part of all corporate requirements, and Carol has further expertise in both areas. Over the last 5 years Carol has also specialised in brand reputational high profile cases offering face to face trauma support, and mitigating adverse reaction to the business. Through this role she represented the business as company spokesperson on live TV and radio including BBC and Sky News.
