Ewan joined abrdn in 2022 as Head of Crisis and Incident Management, where he is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and continual improvement of the abrdn Crisis & Incident Management framework, including delivery of the global training and exercise programme. With a background in emergency response and crisis management in the offshore energy industry, Ewan has extensive experience of tactical and strategic incident management, and has led the response to incidents ranging from IT failures to fatalities in remote offshore environments.

A Member of the Business Continuity Institute, Ewan has previously implemented ISO 22301-certified Business Continuity programmes in financial services, manufacturing and logistics businesses and was named Adviser of the Year at the 2018 Continuity Insurance & Risk Magazine Awards.
