Michael Phillips has nearly 25 years’ experience in crisis management, reputation risk, and strategic communications.
He built the global crisis-management programme at Philip Morris International, focusing on agility and preparedness, and has led the company’s response to global disruptions, including COVID-19, regional conflicts, cyber-attacks, ESG matters, and other reputational threats.
He formerly held multiple roles at McKinsey & Company, including setting up the firm’s due diligence capability and leading reputation risk for Asia and EEMA. Prior to joining McKinsey, Michael served a range of international clients at APCO Worldwide, where he specialised in developing integrated strategic communications campaigns for high-profile clients with complex, fast-moving, cross-border issues.
