Toby Chinn is Director of Crisis24’s Special Risks Response team, leading support to clients confronting high-impact crises including kidnap, hijack, extortion, and other complex security incidents.

With more than 20 years’ experience in international security consultancy, Toby has advised organisations across the full spectrum of risk — from cyber compromise and fraud to civil unrest and terrorism. He has helped clients design proactive security frameworks, implement horizon-scanning and early-warning mechanisms, and navigate live crises to minimise operational, financial, and reputational impact.

Toby has extensive experience supporting operations in high-risk environments, including working closely with a major UK energy company during its expansion across Iraq, where it faced a dynamic and challenging threat landscape.

He speaks Arabic and French and holds an MBA from the École Supérieure de Commerce in Lyon.
