Dr Jo Farrow is a senior scientific consultant at Galson Sciences Ltd (GSL), part of Egis Group, where she has worked on a wide variety of projects relating to nuclear decommissioning and the management and disposal of radioactive waste over the past 10 years. Much of Jo’s recent work has focused on the development of documentation in support of permit applications for the release of nuclear sites from radioactive substances regulation. She has contributed to potential on-site disposal inventories for Magnox sites Trawsfynydd, Dungeness A and Winfrith, and authored various reports feeding into the site-wide environmental safety case at these sites and Berkeley. Jo is currently undertaking performance assessment modelling to determine the dose and risk consequences of potential on-site disposals at Winfrith.
