Profile

Dr Jo Farrow is a Chartered Scientist with degrees in Earth Sciences from Oxford University (MEarthSc Hons) and Cambridge University (PhD), and over eleven years’ experience working for Galson Sciences providing consultancy support relating to UK and international approaches to radioactive waste management and strategies for the disposal of radioactive waste. Jo has supported Nuclear Restoration Services (formerly Magnox Ltd) in addressing the environment agencies’ Guidance on Requirements for Release of Nuclear Sites from Radioactive Substances Regulation (the GRR) since 2016, and was a key member of the teams producing documentation for the Trawsfynydd and Winfrith GRR permit applications submitted in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
