Jo Plyer is a Director at CEA and a former nuclear regulator with the Environment Agency with over 20 years’ experience in the environment field. Jo worked as a regulator on operational sites, advised on decommissioning strategy & plans, and reviewed assessment reports and decision documents on nuclear new build projects. As a consultant, she has overseen surveillance of radioactive waste management arrangements, authored radioactive waste optimisation reports and environmental management procedures demonstrating compliance with the environmental permits. She has provided support on two international publications for the Nuclear Energy Agency on decommissioning and radioactive waste characterisation.
