Matt is a Senior Waste Specialist in the Integrated Waste Management Delivery Team at Nuclear Waste Services (NWS), covering the areas of packaging, storage and disposal. He is a chartered chemist with 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry, focused largely on the packaging of higher activity waste for geological disposal. His previous roles include Disposability Officer at Nuclear Restoration Services, Technical Audit and Periodic Review Manager at NWS, and Waste Management Consultant at Amec Foster Wheeler. Before joining the industry, he completed a PhD at Keele University researching ceramic wasteforms for plutonium and fission products.
