Profile

Dr Przemyslaw Imielski has worked in the Decommissioning and Waste Management Division at GRS in Berlin since 2009. He is an experienced expert in the technical and organisational requirements for the safe decommissioning of nuclear facilities and installations, the management of decommissioning waste, and radiation protection during nuclear decommissioning. He has coordinated projects, contributed to IAEA and EU initiatives, and advised national authorities on safety-related matters. Dr Imielski studied medical physics at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and earned his PhD from Freie Universität Berlin. Prior to joining GRS, he conducted research into surface nanostructure analysis at the Helmholtz Centre Berlin and CERN.
