Simon Morgan is a Principal Inspector of Nuclear Safety in the UK’s Office for Nuclear Regulation, specialising in Nuclear Liabilities Regulation (radioactive waste management, nuclear decommissioning, site end states and land quality management). Simon is also Chair of the Western European Nuclear Regulators Association (WENRA) Working Group on Waste & Decommissioning.

A graduate in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, Simon has previously worked in the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA), as an inspector and team leader in the Environment Agency, in the Ministry of Defence, and has also spent several years in safety and environmental consultancy.
