Valeria Anzellotti works at the Italian National Inspectorate for Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection (ISIN), where she is primarily involved in licensing and regulatory oversight of radioactive waste management facilities and waste treatment and conditioning processes. She is also involved in the licensing of the siting process for the italian national near-surface disposal facility. At national level, she participates in regulatory working groups on radioactive waste, including waste containing hazardous substances, and since 2026 coordinates the Working Group responsible for the National Inventory on radioactive waste, materials and sources of ionizing radiation. Internationally she has been designated as the national contact point for the IAEA’s SRIS. She also participates in the NEA RWMC and in WENRA WGWD, supporting the latter's technical secretariat activities.
