Martin Eglitis is a seasoned licensing professional, with a successful track record in identifying valuable licensing opportunities and closing deals. After a Ph.D. in Anatomy and Cell Biology from the University of Virginia, Martin initially focussed on research before moving into a business development. Until 2011, he was a Senior Director for TEVA, working on partnering opportunities in North America, including early-stage partnerships with academic institutions and small biotechnology companies. In 2012, he set up his own consultancy, Blazing Star Pharma Advisors, where he advises on challenges of pharmaceutical development, such as partnership negotiations and strategic planning.
