Professor Ammar Kaka is the Pro Vice-Chancellor and President of Curtin University Dubai, leading Curtin’s presence in the Middle East. He drives the university’s academic growth, industry partnerships, and strategic visibility across the region.

Prior to joining Curtin, Professor Kaka built an extensive international career spanning more than 30 years in the United Kingdom and the transnational education sector. He has held a range of senior academic and executive leadership positions, including serving as President of a university in Bahrain. Throughout his career, he has played a pivotal role in advancing higher education, fostering international collaborations, and supporting institutional growth across diverse educational environments.

With an academic background in Construction Economics and Management, Professor Kaka has authored more than 150 publications, is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), and has supervised over 30 PhD candidates, many of whom now hold senior leadership positions across government, industry, and academia.
